I finally got in to Jack and Lu's after a coworker recommended them for lunch. I was looking for something delicious (NOT fast-food), but relatively inexpensive. Boy, did I hit the jackpot here! I got an 8 inch chicken cheese sub (like a philly, but chicken), with everything, and round fries. I normally wouldn't have gotten the fries, but my coworker insisted I try them, and I was so glad I did. I was halfway through the bag before I left the parking lot I think! They were freshly sliced and oily, and not a bit of salt on them. They didn't need any salt they were so good. And the sub...holy lord. They do not skimp, people. This thing was loaded...full of red and green peppers, and onions, and oh the cheese. The cheese! The service was awesome too. Erin was so nice and funny. The cooks in the back were singing and laughing and super nice to me too. Overall, they all seemed to be enjoying themselves at work. This means a lot...I hate to feel like I am inconveniencing someone when you ask them to do their job. So, I give Jack and Lu's 5 stars and I can't wait to go back!!

Best subs in town! 5 star friendly and genuine service. The philly is to die for and homemade chips and fries are legendary. With reasonable prices I don't see why anyone would pay to eat subway. And they also deliver. It has this home / family atmosphere inside and they love to get to know regulars. If you are looking for that perfect sub for the right price don't hesitate, you've found the place!

Can't go wrong here if you're looking for a sandwich. Good fries and chips. Friendly, clean. Not greasy or disgusting in any way. Good sized portions. Is it the best sandwich place in the universe? No. Is it the best sandwich place in Holly Hill? Yes.

This place is killer for quick sandwiches. Sandwich bread is so soft and fluffy, meat is high quality. Cheesesteaks are great. Most of all- very reasonable price. $6.50 for an 8 inch sub and I'm full. Cheapest place in town for great food.

Went to Daytona for a stay-cation this past summer with my sisters. I was in charge of looking for places to eat and found this place on Yelp (obviously). When we got there we were immediately greeted by the employees. My eldest sister got the Philly Cheese Steak Sub and she said that it was the best Cheese Steak that she has had outside of Philly! They also serve salads, like macaroni and potato, I have not seen at other sub shops before. :) Can't wait to go back! I would recommend this place to anybody! So if you are ever in Daytona Beach Florida you need to check out this place!

The people were very friendly and the atmosphere is very welcoming. I had the Philly cheese steak sandwich and home made chips. They both were okay. The Philly was a bit too salty for my taste, but it was good overall. They even gave us free cookies.

Really great sandwich shop! I had the steak Philly which was amazing. It wasn't greasy, but was filled with molten cheese, grilled peppers and onions, and grilled mushrooms. Plus the staff was super friendly and not afraid to be themselves in front of customers. I will be returning.

AMAZING! This place was fantastic. I was getting my car fixed at a dealership and came here for lunch. Im from out of town and never been to this area so went by reviews on yelp. I got the jacks steak and cheese sub and my girlfriend got the hot italian. Both where delicious and the service was awesome and super friendly. This place is a definite MUST if your in the area.

Stopped by on a motorcycle ride based on Yelp reviews. We both got Philly Cheese steaks with Provolone. My husband got extra hot with jalapeños and siracha(?) and I got bbq sauce. Good sandwiches and fries. Great for a quick lunch and super friendly service.

Happened here by accident with a friend. The people are super nice and the food was super good. I was really surprised that the food was as amazing as it was but was definitely not disappointed. The hours make it hard to stop by, but if you get a chance you can not pass it up.

Worth finding if in the area. I give it 3.5 stars with Subway being a 2 star comparable. Off the beaten down path in Daytona (lots of beaten down stuff around Daytona) this place is a great spot for a quick lunch. Stick with the basics, Cheese Steaks and Chicken Cheesesteaks. Get the round fries also. Avoid the MAC Salad and potato salad. Great friendly fast service. Even with a long line they crank it out!!

Awesome find, amazing staff, really friendly... Lots of locals and usuals came in while I was here so I knew it would be good. I had the super sub and potato salad.... It was beyond super.... I'm not local but I know where I will be eating any time I come to Daytona!

I love this place, i've been coming here since my undergrad days and every time I visit my family out here I come and the funny thing is they still remember me by name :) the steak philly and chicken philly are delish, especially with the italian dressing. And at 5.99 for a 12 inch ooooh yeah!

Oh nothing like waking up in Daytona Beach at noon, still covered in sand from the previous day's beach outing, smelling like beer, and praying that when you move your head from the pillow the hang over won`t be as bad as you assume, WRONG! With the quest for food in mind with the hope of mitigating the pain of the night before my fellow partiers and I head on down to Jack and Lou's for some sandwiches. Usually busy and full of awesome meats, mostly boars head, and some other specialty meats as well. Being from the Northeast I chose to go with a hot Pastrami sandwich on a wheat hoagie roll with the works (jalapenos, olives, banana peppers, pickles, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, and spicy mustard) all covered in a generous layer of melted provolone cheese served with a kosher dill pickle and washed down with ice cold Vault soda (caffeine!!!!). Jack and Lou's serves a great sandwich and the people behind the counter were a mix of friendly service and "let's go I have a huge line, move your butt you ignorant customer" which is what I expect from any place making good New York style subs. Check it out, you won't be disappointed.
